Maramures
Situated at the northern frontier of Romania, Maramures is integrated in the geometric centre of Europe.
This natural shape is designed by mountains; in the north, the boundary of the region and of the country with Ukraine follows on a long distance the course of The Tisa river.
The county of Maramures arrays itself as a succession of waves, in hills, terraces and plains all along the Iza, Mara, Cosau and Viseu rivers that all flow in Tisa river.
Area of very old culture and civilization, Maramures imprinted its history in wood and stone, in the soul and the word.

- The artisans of the villages - century-old preserved occupations.
